In 2017, the penetration rate of full HD smart phones will reach 43%

According to the latest quarterly report on smartphones from NPD DisplaySearch, the global smartphone shipments will reach 1.8 billion in 2017, accounting for 82% of the total smartphone shipments, while the smartphone penetration rate in the third quarter of 2013 was 55%. In the next five years, the compound annual growth rate of smart phones will reach 21%, while non smart phones will decline at an annual rate of 16%.
