Honda Kawasaki Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. will invest nearly 10 billion yen (about 604 million yuan) in China to build a new factory to produce industrial robots. It is planned to be put into production in April 2015, with an initial annual capacity of about 2000 units, which will be sold to local automobile manufacturers in China. In addition, Japan Seiko Epson also plans to gradually transfer the manufacturing business of the "horizontal multi joint robot" used for assembly of precision parts to China. In China, where labor costs are rising, robot investment to reduce labor is increasing year by year. Japanese enterprises hope to improve efficiency by relying on Japanese technology and fully exploit the Chinese market.
